Position Overview
We are currently looking for a compassionate and innovative Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team as the Medical Director. In this pivotal role, you will provide psychiatric oversight and support outpatient clinical operations while contributing to our overall vision and program development. You will work collaboratively within a supportive community mental health setting alongside licensed therapists, clinical and executive directors, and other prescribing staff members.
Responsibilities and Duties
Conduct psychopharmacological evaluations for clients seeking medication services.
Provide non-face-to-face support, which may include phone consultations with physicians, pharmacies, clients, and their parents/guardians.
Review, prescribe, and monitor medications for clients.
Maintain thorough documentation of all client-related interactions.
Consult on program development and help create new initiatives that enhance the mental health services available to children and youth in our community. Exploring innovative treatment delivery methods is essential in addressing the growing need for mental health support.
Collaborate with the Executive Director to establish partnerships with psychiatry fellowship programs, aimed at supervising fellows on-site, thereby increasing access to care for our clients.
Offer case consultation and training as requested.
Coordinate and collaborate with local primary care providers and pediatricians to enhance care integration.
Participate in the agency's Quality Management processes as needed.
Be available for after-hours phone consultations on an as-needed basis.
Provide clinical consultation to clinicians regarding diagnostic assessments and medication recommendations.
Prepare and maintain clinical case records and documentation in accordance with clinic guidelines.
Uphold agency confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
Ensure compliance with all billing and client documentation requirements set by Medicaid, insurance companies, and prior authorizations.
Adhere to state and federal licensing regulations while maintaining required continuing education units (CEUs) for licensure.
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Three to five years of direct practice experience with the juvenile and young adult population preferred.

Compensation:
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $250,000 to $310,000 per year
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, WA 98683 (relocation required before starting work)
